Industrial Training is a core component of the Faculty's Competence-Based Engineering Education (CBEE) model. The programme provides students with structured experiential learning opportunities that enable them to apply classroom knowledge to real engineering and technological challenges within industry, healthcare institutions, government agencies, and the private sector.
Students undertake supervised placements in manufacturing industries, construction companies, hospitals, energy companies, ICT firms, research institutions, government agencies, and engineering consultancies. During these placements, they develop practical technical competencies, professional ethics, teamwork, communication, project management, and problem-solving skills while gaining exposure to modern engineering technologies and workplace practices.
The Faculty works closely with industry partners to ensure that industrial training aligns with programme learning outcomes and labour market needs. Through continuous supervision and mentorship, students graduate with the practical experience and confidence required for successful professional careers.
